Personal Work: The Blue Devil-Bogey Nuragaki

Today post is talking about a demon named Bogey Nuramamo. Its name is derived from Bogey and the mix spelling of Nurarihyon and Mammon. Nurarihyon is the leader of Japanese Yokai while Mammon itself is a devil representing the Sin of Greed. Therefore, the devil's name has the meaning of "Leader of Great Greed; Evil Spirit of Greed''. Its appearance resembled an octopus this is because octopus is sometimes related to greed.

The demon and article is just fictional. However, you might find this demon being familiar but any resemblance to actual individuals or events are coincidental. At last, I hope people can realize the real evil running at our country and wish our country will have a better day.

HND Lesson: Design Principle-Mondrian's Box.(Tribute To Neo-Plasticism)

This lesson required student to apply a principle of an art-movement into a design. Since I am a product design student, I need to design a product that resembled Neo-Plasticism. For more info about Neo-Plasticism, visit this link: http://heliostcs.blogspot.com/2013/06/talk-talk-tribute-to-neo-plasticism.html

As a tribute to Neo-Plasticism and also part of assignment of Design Principle. Mondrian's box is created.

Mondrian’s box is designed because the inspiration from Mondrian’s artwork. It is designed to commemorate Mondrian and Neo-Plasticism. Mondrian wanted to make art as simple as possible, this was his philosophy toward Neo-Plasticism. As to apply his action into a design, a very simple form is decided as the design. To make people recognize this is the box of Mondrian, his artwork is being modified and applied on the product. The apply is based on Mondrian’s artwork in the late of 1930.

Mondrian Box is a rectangular container that represent the concept of Neo-Plasticism. It was built by acrylic and wood. It is designed in such simple form because it was designed according to the principle and theory of Neo-Plasticism. It is functioned as a container for stationary, besides that, it can  be a flower pot as well . It is made up by 4 side of acrylic-wood combination plane jointing with  4 wooden square pole.

TALK the talk: Tribute To Neo-Plasticism

INTRODUCTION TO NEO-PLASTICISM
Neo-Plasticism is an art movement created by Dutch artist, Piet Mondrian. It is sometimes refer as De Stijl. It debut at the year of 1917, the founder of this art movement included Theo Van Doesburg. It is the painting style and ideas developed by Piet Mondrian. Denoting the "new plastic art," or simply "new art," the term embodies Mondrian's vision of an ideal, abstract art form he felt was suited to the modern era. (Justin Wolf, n.d). (the term “plastic” here referred as visual art). Mondrian envisioned that the principles of Neo-Plasticism would be transplanted from the medium of painting to other art forms, including architecture and design, providing the basis of the transformation of the human environment sought by De Stijl artists. In Mondrian's words, a "pure plastic vision should build a new society, in the same way that in art it has built a new plasticism."

Personal Work: Add ''tagline'' To Google GLASS

The following is a practice for Graphic Design. It was also an exercise done by my Graphic Design friend.(Check her work here too.http://artistic-yanni.blogspot.com/2013/05/weekly-task-8-google-glass.html). The subject required student to come out a tagline for Google Glass.

Google Glass is a wearable gadget that is developed by Google. It will look like a pair of normal eyeglasses, but the lens of the glasses will be an interactive, smartphone-like display, with natural language voice command support as well as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. Google Glass will be powered by the Android mobile operating system and is expected to offer compatibility with both Android-powered mobile devices and Apple iOS-powered devices.(Webopedia,2013).

Know more about GLASS at here: http://www.google.com/glass/start/how-it-feels/

Tagline that I think: ''Refraction Of Innovation"

Image Resource::

Reason:
Refraction of Innovation  means ''a change in idea''. Refraction in definition is the bending of light. Light always travel in a straight line before it bounds into another medium; gadget trend nowadays is like a light traveling in one medium, it keep going straight. Every company seems to have developing same kind of gadget(smartphone or tablet) to compete for the market, but to me, there is no solid change, there is no strong innovation. Google GLASS however is a gadget with new concept and it also signify a huge change in gadget industry. It's not only resemble a new and fresh icon in technology but it also has potential to involved itself in fashion. Google GLASS also  had brought sci-fi movie into real-life. Conclusion, I think Google GLASS is like a light begin to travel into another medium, it's like ready to make a new generation, new direction and at the end, it brings us a brand new innovation in technology.

*This is just my personal opinion and practice in doing graphic design-advertising. It is not associated with Google. If there is any grammar error or bad language, I apologize for the mistake made.
